ROONEY, Winston
1941 - 2023Saint-Sauveur
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Winston Rooney at the age of 82, on January 24, 2023. He is survived by his beloved wife Mrs. Regina Chicoine, his children Wanda (Scott), Wayne (Sandra), Wendy (Pierre) and Sean (Nancy). He will also be missed by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Born in Douglastown in Gaspe, he moved to Rosemere in 1958 to work at Havill Paper co. from 1964 to 1998. After a long period of working, he retired to Lac du Cerf to their cottage in 1998. He then moved to Saint-Sauveur in Laurentides in 2019.
The family will celebrate in private and there will be no viewing.
Mr. Rooney passed away at the Hospital of Ste-Agathe-des-Monts. The family would like to thank the staff of the ICU and the palliative care for all the good services and the empathy they showed Mr. Rooney.
