We are heart-broken to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Santina (aka “Nella”) Celeste-Alfieri on Monday 24 April, 2023, at the age of 92, devoted spouse of the late Joe Alfieri, her husband of 60 years.
Mom leaves to mourn her children Carla (Jerry), Frank (Erminia), Tina (John), and her cherished grand-children Joey (Josie), Kelly (Randy), Jeffrey (Bianca), Lauren, Lisa-Marie and Jenna, as well as her brother Frank (the late Giuseppina) and sister Carmelina (the late Mario), together with her sisters-in law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, all of whom she treasured dearly. Mom is pre-deceased by her sister Suor Maria, and brothers Pasquale and Antonio.
Mamma, your genuine affection for people, your spunk, your joie-de-vivre, and your phenomenal memory will stay with us forever! You have been our reliable reference for names and dates, not to mention the glue that has united the family….and we miss you!
Visitations will be held at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex, 10300 boul. Pie-IX on Monday 08 May, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service in the Chapel of the complex, thence to Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery for burial at 1:15 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, or to any charity of your choice.
