MATTHEW WAPACHEE, MAGGIE MATOUSH

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the peaceful passing of Maggie Matoush on April 14 and Matthew Wapachee on April 15, 2024. Maggie Matoush at the age 92 years and 7 months and Matthew at the age 91 years and 7 months.

They are survived by their children, Glenn, Wally, late Haddy, Margaret W. Mianscum, late Philip, James, MaryAnne W. Linton, Norman, Daisy W. Shecapio, Louise, late Henry, Cynthia W. Hughboy, Alice W. Lacroix, Theresa, and Sophie
T. Bosum.

They are fondly remembered by Matthew's step-sister Helen Husky Mianscum and Matoush/Macleod nephews and nieces. Also, their many friends in Chibougamau and in the Cree Nation.

A lifetime of Love, so beautifully lived deserves to be wonderfully remembered.
The Wapachee family will receive relatives and friends at La Maison Funeraire Beaudry & fils, 377 3rd street Chibougamau. The Viewing will take place on Tuesday, April 23 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm for immediate family; 4:00pm to 7:00pm for public. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 24 at Ouje-Bougoumou Sports Complex, 1 Medowouin street. Public viewing starts at 9:00am to 10:00am. The service will start at 10:00am to 12:30.

The burial service will be held at Mistissini, QC starting at 3:30pm. Feast will follow at Neowskewskaw Sports Complex starting at 5:00pm
