PAQUIN, Earle Francis

1945 - 2022

Boynton Beach

With profound sadness and grief, we regret to announce the passing of Earle Francis Paquin on December 11th, 2022 at Bethesda East Hospital, Boynton Beach, Florida in his 77th year.


Beloved husband of Jean (Mackay), cherished father of Kevin (Sarah) and Karen (Jimmie), and adored grandfather of Nathaniel, Gabriel, Caroline, and Abigail.


Son of the late Robert Paquin and Margaret Edworthy, pre-deceased by his brother Charles (Louise) and sister-in-law Judy Ste-Marie (née Mackay, husband René), survived by brothers Fred (Andrée) and William (France), sisters-in-law Joyce Mackay-Perry (Dave) and Louise Farmer, brother-in-law René Ste. Marie, as well as his nieces and nephews, many friends and colleagues around the world.


Born in Trois-Rivières, Québec where he met the love of his life Jean Mackay, he was active at Three-Rivers High School in curling (winning the provincial championship in 1962), manager of the basketball team, as well as an accomplished skier and golfer, working as a caddy at Ki-8-Eb golf club.


Gold medal winner at Mohawk College in 1970, he graduated with a degree in textile engineering, beginning his career in textiles with Ferguson Atlantic in Trois-Rivières, moving his young family to Montreal to join Eastman Kodak in 1976 in chemical sales and marketing. Progressing to more senior roles during a career spanning over 25 years with Eastman, he accepted postings in Tennessee, Montreal, Singapore, Tokyo, and St. Louis, satisfying his curiosity and desire to travel the globe.


He and Jean eventually retired to Florida in 2007 as snow(love)birds and Montreal in summer to be closer to family. An avid golfer, he joined Lost City Golf Club in Atlantis, Florida. Throughout their time in Florida, they were active members of Royal Palm Presbyterian Church in Lake Worth.


The family would like to thank his primary care physician Dr. Ahmed Alikhan and his staff, oncologist Dr. Myrna Sanchez at the Reddy Cancer Treatment Center in Malone, NY, the nursing team in the Orthopedic ward at JFK Hospital in Atlantis, Florida, and the Trustbridge Hospice Care unit staff at Bethesda East Hospital for their support and dedication to his care.


Two services will take place: the first on February 18th, 2023 at 2 p.m at Royal Palm Presbyterian Church in Lake Worth, Florida.http://royalpalmpresbyterianchurch.com/


The second will be held at: Centre funéraire Rousseau.



In lieu of flowers, donations to the American or Canadian Cancer Societies in his memory would be appreciated by the family. Société canadienne du cancer (), American Cancer Society ()
