BOTTONI Carlo
1948-2023
MAGNUS POIRIER INC.It is with immense sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Carlo Bottoni on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Born in Monte San Giovanni Campano, Italy, son of Lisa Mancini and Angelo Bottoni, he immigrated to Montreal in 1966. Like many newcomers to Canada, he immediately began to work hard in order to build a better life for himself and his family.

Carlo was the beloved husband of the late Antonietta Cinelli; beloved father of Angelo (Christina); and devoted grandfather to his cherished grandson Luca Carlo. He will be sadly missed by his sister Loreta, brothers Americo and Remo, brother-in-law Mario, and by his sisters-in-law Cesidia, Adolorata and Nuccia. He will also be missed by the families of Anna Gabrielli and Quentalina Reali with whom he was really close as well as his many other caring nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Carlo was a kind and caring man with a gentle soul. He loved to take care of his garden and fruit trees and was generous in sharing the bounty of his efforts with his family and friends. He also enjoyed and took pride in making his own tomato sauce and wine. He loved spending time with his immediate and extended family and friends. After losing his wife at such a young age, he was fully committed and devoted to raising his son, and again later gave selflessly of himself to always be there for his son’s young family, especially for his grandson, who was his pride and joy.
Visitation will be held at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex, 10300 Pie IX Blvd. Montreal North, on Sunday, March 26th, 2023 from 2 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 27th, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Notre-Dame-du-Mont Carmel Church, 7645 Rue Du Mans St-Leonard, thence to the Laval Cemetery, 5505 Chemin bas St-François.
