MOWBRAY William Macfarlane
1972-2021
MAGNUS POIRIER INC.On Sept 16 we lost our brother. Some of you know him as ‘Will’ but he was alway ‘Bill’ to his sisters, Gwen, Fran and Juanita. Born and raised in Truro NS in the late 1990s he escaped our small town in search of bigger adventures in the west, finally settling in Montreal over 20 years ago.

A lover of life. Bill enjoyed testing his physical limits whether it was jumping out of airplanes, bungee jumping, mountain biking, back country camping, canoeing … the thrill of the accomplishment brought him joy.

A builder of all the things.  Bill was always conceptualizing new designs and tweaking current ones. He carried the Mowbray gene for innovation with pride. All our homes bear the fruits of his labours. He loved to understand the mechanics of every gizmo he came across. Carefully studying how it worked and how to improve the design.

True to Mowbray form we will miss Bill's wonderfully funny and horrible puns. It would be terrible to be pun-ished for not being a laughing stock.

A kind and gentle soul. Bill was a lover of all creatures and all of nature. That’s where he thrived. Showing nieces and nephews how to set up camp, the wonders of a hammock tent and of course halloumi cheese over a campfire. Thank-you Bill for that delicious introduction!

Sisters, nephews and neices will all miss you so much and remember our many special times together.  Wherever you are now we hope that the insects are few, trees perfectly spaced and the lakes and rivers inviting.

Rest easy brother...friend.
