It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Wanda Gutzman on September 28 in Montreal. Her beloved husband of 57 full and happy years, Waldemar (Wally), pre-deceased her on January 6, 2010.
Wonderful and dedicated mother of Beverley (Joe), Barbara (Richard) and Dr. Donald (Lyne), and special aunt of Heather Gray. Kind, patient and giving Nana of grand-children Jennifer, Jeffrey, Lori, Krista, Steven, Alexandra and Andrew, whom she loved dearly.
She always placed family above all else, and was deeply cherished. She was interested in all aspects of our lives, and gave selflessly, asking for so little. We are blessed with the many rich memories of times spent with her that will forever make us smile and fill our hearts. She provided a guiding beacon, enriching the lives of family and all those around her with true compassion, love and caring for others.
A memorial service to remember and celebrate Wanda’s life will be held in the Chapel of Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd., D.D.O., 514-685-3344, on Saturday, October 22 at 12:30. Visitation beginning at 11:30.
In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate contributions to the West Island Palliative Care Residence (265 Andre Brunet, Kirkland, Qc, H9H 3R4) – who we thank for their dignified care.
