MARTENS, Vitalius (Vi)

Passed away peacefully at Lakeshore General Hospital in Pointe Claire, Quebec, on April 7, 2012, aged 97 years. Born in Russia on Oct. 2, 1914, he came to Canada in 1954. He worked for Air Canada for 25 years, retiring in 1979. He was liked and respected by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. He was predeceased by his wife Helen in 1987. He is survived by his son Walter, daughter-in-law Chen and beloved granddaughter Jennifer. A memorial service will be held at the Rideau Funeral Home at 4275 Boul. des Sources, Dollard des Ormeaux on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 5:00 pm. He will be buried with his beloved wife in Winnipeg.
