MATIER, Thomas

Passed away peacefully on Thursday July 25, 2013 at the Lakeshore General Hospital, at the age of 97.
Beloved and adoring husband of 64 years to Eileen (nee Cassidy). Very loving father of Edward, of Toronto, Gerry (Diane Jamieson), partner Kim Woodward, of Vancouver, and Tom (Mary Shillabeer) of Calgary. Predeceased by his cherished brother Desmond (Betty) of Ottawa and his parents Gerry and Mabel. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. Also fondly remembered by long-time friends and neighbours Christine and Keith Kelly, and Ian and Marion Trasler. A funeral service will be held on Monday July 29th, 2013 at 11:00 Am at Rideau Funeral Home 4275 Sources Blvd, Dollard des Ormeaux, (514) 685-3344. The family will receive condolences at the funeral home at 10:30Am. In lieu of flowers donations to the C.N.I.B. Would be greatly appreciated.
