DERY, Susan

2022

Granby

Version anglaise seulement

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Susan (Suzanne/Sue) Dery.  She passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 25th, in the afternoon surrounded by loved ones.

Loving wife of Frank, beloved mother to Debbie, Amanda (Marwan) and Angie (Christian), and stepmother to Kedrin (Ellis).  Adoring Nana to Nassim, Laïla, Jacob, Tyler, and Bradley.  Loyal big sister to Colleen (Claude), Pete (Irene), Cathy (John), Nancy (Clem), and Rob. And sister in-law to Janet.

Suzanne was born in Montreal to Pauline and Pierre Dery and the oldest of 6 children.  She spent time in both Montreal and the Laurentians before moving to the Eastern Townships to work as a counsellor for ETSB and meeting her love, Frank.  They were married for almost 27 years and lived in both West Bolton and Knowlton.

Suzanne was a strong and independent woman who had a lust for life.  Sue loved music, art, traveling, and a good meal with family and friends.  You could often find her working on her fabulous gardens, or painting—with some Bob Marley in the background and her hair always looking fabulous.

The family wishes to thank all the friends, neighbours, and healthcare professionals who have been so caring and wonderful these last few months.

There will be a service of remembrance in Knowlton at St-Paul’s Anglican Church on October 1st, 2022, at 11am, The service will be live streamed via the St-Paul’s Facebook page.
