DR. STEVEN RONA Passed away peacefully and serenely at home surrounded by his loved ones on December 31, 2010 in his 102nd year of life. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Dr. Clara Rona-Revesz. He will be celebrated and greatly missed by his children, Dr. Mary Rona (William Hartzog) and Susan Rona, by his dearest nephew Dr. George Vadas (Joan) and by his beloved grandchildren Daniel and Jessica Rona-Hartzog. Mourning him with us are Dotty (Larry) Brown and Jim (Carol) Hindels, their children Jordana (Michael), Rebecca (Jason), Naomi, Sarah (Brian) and Sam and their families, as well as Nancy (Trevor) and Jeffrey Vadas and their families. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to his devoted team of caregivers, Valeria Pataki, Lany Ramos, Schofield Jackson and Zsoka Zsido, as well as to nurse Kathy and to Martha. We will celebrate his long, wonderful life on Wednesday, January 5 at 12 p.m. at Mount-Royal Commemorative Services, 1297 Chemin de la Foret. There will be a reception following the service. The burial is private. Dr. Rona devoted his life to practicing medicine, and was a dedicated, caring physician to many. In his memory, and in the spirit of continuing his commitment to the education and training of the next generation of doctors, donations may be made to the McGill Centre for Medical Education, Lady Meredith House, Room 205, 1110 Pine Avenue West, H3A 1A3 in lieu of flowers
