In Montreal, on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the age of 96 years passed away SILVESTRE DA SILVA GOMES, husband of late Ermelinda Prioste.

He will be sadly missed by his children Aurélia (Erminio Silva), Pedro (Micaela Cavalheiro Silva), Afonso (Noémia Correia) and Teresa, his grandchildren Ligia, Karine, Sandra, Gaby, Monica, Stephanie, Natasha, James and Melinda, his 12 great-grandchildren, his brothers Carlos (Maria Emilia), Alvaro (Maria Luisa), Nuno (Lena) and Joao (Isabel), his brothers-in-law Afonso (Amélia) and Jorge (Eugénia). He will also be missed by his numerous nieces and nephews, several other relatives and friends.

Visitation will take place at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex, 6825 Sherbrooke East, Montreal, on Thusrday, September 6, 2018, from 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday, September 7, 2018 as of 8 a.m.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Santa Cruz Church, 60 Rachel West, Montreal. Burial to folow at Le Repos St-François D’Assise Cemetery.
