MAGNUS POIRIER INC.It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Serafino Pierino Martino at the age of 85. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Anna, his loving children Rosetta (Raffaello), Tina (Jamie) and Gaby (Stefania), his cherished grandchildren Matthew, Andrew, Thomas, Julie-Anna and Jayden, his siblings Donato, Rocco, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.  Pierino, as he was most commonly called, will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving husband and father and proud nonno who put family above all else.  

He will always be remembered for his carpentry and ingenuity for fixing things. We will especially miss his friendly and warm smile, his soft-spoken demeanor, and good-natured sense of humor. He was a man of great faith who guided others towards a more spiritually fulfilling life.  He loved his Church and was admired for his active and generous benevolence.   

Throughout his life, no matter the tribulations, he always advocated for peace.  And now, may he rest in eternal and heavenly peace with God and all the Angels and Saints who have helped him every day of his life.  Somewhere in heaven, God is greeting him with open arms, and is telling him, "Well done." 

Due to the present circumstances, a private funeral will be held following the viewing.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Pierino may be made to one of his favorite causes, the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation.
