1935-2010
Peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the West Island Palliative Care Residence on September 2, 2010 in his 75th year. Cherished by his loving wife of 52 years, Marilyn, his daughters, Lori-Ann, and Cindy (Dave Sawers), proud Pappa of Meaghan, Micheal and Matthew, brother to Nancy and David (Kathy), uncle to Tim (Sarah) and Karen (Eric). Ron is survived by his Aunt Cassie, Aunt Doris and many cousins.
For 34 years, Ron worked for Abbott Laboratories where he was fondly known as 'Mr. Pricing'. He was actively involved in his church, was Master of Harmony Lodge and Potentate at Karnak temple in 2008. For many years, he was Chairman of the Board of the Shriner's hospital. It was his life's passion to improve the quality of life for these children.
Ron was an avid golfer and jogger, loved country and gospel music and spending Sunday evenings with his family. He was loving, kind and gentle soul; he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Daphne Yee, her staff and the WIPC residence for their exceptional care and compassion.
Visitation will take place at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 boul. des Sources, DDO, 514-685-3344, on Sunday September 5 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm (a masonic funeral will take place during visitation). Funeral service will be held at Roxboro United Church, 116 Cartier, Roxboro, on Monday September 6 at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Shriner's hospital will be greatly appreciated.
