Avis de décès
BERLINGHOF, Roland F.
1940 - 2021Magog
«Roland, near the fire your place is empty but in my heart your memory remains»
It is with sadness and heavy heart that I announce the passing of my beloved husband and friend of 27 years, Roland, March 13th, at the Hospital of Memphremagog, Magog, Quebec.
He leaves to mourn him his wife Louise and her family; his family from Germany; sisters Irma, Elsie (Horst), Elizabeth (Manfred) and a brother Werner. He also leaves nephews and nieces and many friends.
He was predeceaded by 2 brothers; Theo (Irmgard), Hans and a sister Gerda.
Born in Germany, Roland emigrated to Canada in 1964, aged 24 and settled in Alberta and BC. He made many friends who still kept contact with him even after he moved to Quebec (Eastern Township) with his wife in 2010. He was a man of profound convictions, genuine, modest man who love the simple life and people who were true to themselves.
Widely travelled, he had a great knowledge of History, Geography, Nuclear, etc.; always ready to engage in interesting conversation. He was a good worker who took pride in his work and remained active until the end.
Roland will be buried in Louiseville, Quebec, home of his wife, Louise.
Rest in peace Roland.
Repose en paix Roland.
