After a courageous 10 months battle with lymphoma, we sadly announce the passing of our angel, Phylliss McMinn, at the age of seventy-six. Her struggle ended peacefully with her family at her bedside at the W.I Palliative Care Centre on Monday January 3, 2011.
Dearest wife to Norman of 54 years. Loving, caring and most understanding mother to her children, Tracy (Mark), Gary (Julie) and Holly (Mario). Her beloved grandchildren, Erin, Shane, Christian, Tara and Daniel, will always be reminded of Grandma’s gentle ways, always there for them, always there to listen and confide in. Also survived by her siblings Bobby (Joan), Grant (Lynn) and Joyce (Don). All who knew her will miss her smile, laughter and above all her love of singing. She will forever be remembered in our hearts.
Thanks to the oncology staff at the Montreal General Hospital and a special thank you to Anne and Dr. Solymoss, also all the nurses and volunteers at the west Island Palliative Care Centre for their wonderful care and compassion.
Visitations on Thursday January 6, from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home's chapel on Friday January 7, at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to West Island Palliative care Centre would be appreciated.
