CAREY, Mr. Oakley Of Val des Monts passed away Tuesday February 24, 2009 at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of the late Helen Flynn, son of the late John 'Jack' Carey and of the late Margaret 'Maggie' Hall. Dear father of Margaret, John (Susan Howard), Joan (Harold Newton) and William 'Bill' (Danielle Cole). Cherished grandfather of 4 grandchildren Christopher, Carolyn (Lionel Neves), Linda and Judith (Sebastien Leblanc) and of 3 great-grandchildren Angela, Jonathan and Jade. Predeceased by 1 sister Olga (late Burt Toll) and by 2 brothers Leslie and William 'Bill'. Also survived by 2 sisters-in-law Rita (late Robert Green) and Nora (late Vance Marston) many nieces, nephews, friends and his cherished canine companion Flora. A special thank to the personnel of eighth floor of CHVO Hull (Section Ward D) for their excellent care provided to Mr. Carey. A service will be held on Saturday February 28, 2009 at 11 o'clock at Templeton United Church, 942 Notre Dame Street, Gatineau. Visitation at the A. Gauvreau & Sons Funeral Home, 750 Maloney Blvd. East Gatineau Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 (Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m.) and Saturday starting at 9 a.m. Donations to Canadian Diabetes Association, 8550 Pie IX Blvd, office 300, Montreal, Quebec would be appreciated.
