Michel Fontaine 1948 - 2021
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Michel Fontaine early morning of July 28th, 2021, age 72 at the MUHC Glen Site, surrounded by family. He was the son of the late Alfred Fontaine and Rollande Préfontaine.
Michel leaves in mourning his wife Maureen Curphey; his three daughters: Julie (Olivier Arseneau), Catherine (Renaud Lafrance-Longtin), Elizabeth; and his grandchildren: Alice and Henri. His sisters and brothers: Carmen (Jacques Genest), Pierre (Nicole Douville), Jean-Louis (Huguette Bombardier), Henriette (Michel Genest), Yves (Monique Boucher) and was predeceased by his older sister Nicole. He also leaves his sister-in-law Paula and brother-in-law John; as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Michel was known for his dedication to his family and his passion for life. Every project he embarked on was done with great determination such as his successful career, his golf game, and fishing which he always did with great conviction and humour.
As per his wishes a private celebration of life (by invitation) will be held at a later date.
