MAGNUS POIRIER INC.Michael Nicholas Zabuga, passed away on Friday January 13, 2017 at 5:55pm.
For those who would like to pay their respects, the funeral will be held on Thursday January 19th from 4:00pm to 10:00pm at Magnus Poirier funeral home, 6825 Sherbrooke east, Montréal. There will be a 30 minute mass at 7:30pm lead by Father Kutash of the St. Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
He was a charming man who lived life to the fullest. Born and raised in Montreal, he was a competitive swimmer, diver, football player, hockey goalie and an amazing triple black diamond run skier in his youth. He also loved to play Chess and he collected stamps and coins as a hobby. Later in life, he traveled for work and made friends everywhere he went. He was a strong and confident man who also had mastered Jiu-Jitsu, and as his friend once said, "in college, nobody messed with Michael". He could also clear a pool table without you ever having taken your turn.
He was a loving father; so caring, wise, told many jokes and always knew how to have fun. He will be greatly missed by his daughter Vivian with whom he was very close, they even shared the same birthday.
One of the last things he said to Vivian was that he felt fulfilled in life and that he was ready to go. We know that he will Rest In Peace.
