GRIFFITH (NEE OSWALD), Mary Joan
1933 - 2020Lachute
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Joan Griffith (nee Oswald) on May 24, 2020 at the Lachute Residence. She was 87 years old. She was predeceased by her husband Rexford Griffith and her older brother, Ross Oswald.
She leaves behind her adoring younger brother, John, her beloved sons, Mark and his wife Jeannie as well as Gordon and his wife Nancy, her six beautiful grandchildren: Lauren, Hazel, Taylor, Niall, Philippe and Audrey, her dear sisters-in-law, Eileen Oswald, Marina Russell and Eunice Shortt, and all her nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her cherished friend Marjorie Noble.
The family extends its heartfelt appreciation to the employees of the Lachute Residence for their compassionate care. She will be missed by her family and friends but we take comfort in that she finally reunites with her husband.
Donations in Joan’s name can be made to the Lachute Regional Residence Foundation.
