1923-2012
Lee Girard was called home to God on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the age of eighty nine. Born in Quinan, Nova Scotia on July 29, 1923, Lee was a light onto the world - an ethereal spirit who loved people, music and especially dancing.
Lee was predeceased by her husband, Maurice, in May 2009. She leaves to mourn her three children -Guy, Paula (Hector) and Mitch (Martha) along with five grandchildren Tiffany, Mark, Ryan, Jaime and Rory, two great grandsons, Owen & Brayden and her sister Marie Wheeler of Barrie Vermont.
The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the staff at Denis Benjamin Viger Nursing Home where Lee resided these past seven years.
A memorial service will be held at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 boul. des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Qc 514-685-3344 on Friday, September 14 at 2 pm followed by burial and a reception at 33 Belton, Pointe-Claire, Qc.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to either the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or the Cancer Society of Canada.
