Peacefully passed away at home in Montreal on June 26, 2012 in her 92nd year. Born Maria Schidal, in Leningrad Russia to parents Joseph Schidal and Helen Lesow and pre-deceased by her husband Henryk Masek. Loving Mother of Wanda Meaney (Kevin) of Calgary AB; son Tony Masek (Anne) of London ON; and, Elizabeth Masek of Montreal. Dearest grandmother of James (Shantelle) and Jennifer (Ervin) Meaney; Stephen, Laura and Sarah Masek. Dear great-grandmother to Nicholas and Bailey. Private family service will be held at the grave site in Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery. A special thanks to Rideau Funeral Home, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec for their professional services.
