Peacefully, on Tuesday March 23rd 2010, passed away our adored mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Maria Lamantia Oliveri.
Throughout her lifetime, she blessed us with her wisdom, light and the deepest love imaginable.
Maria was born in Cattolica Eraclea, AG. Sicily on February 1st, 1915 and emigrated to Montréal with her late husband, Francesco Oliveri in 1953. Despite her travails of the last few years, Maria managed to live her life with dignity and strength reaching a robust 95 years. Her passing is deeply mourned and felt profoundly by all of her family and many wonderful friends.
Mother, grandmother of 14 grand-children and 16 great-grand-children, she will be sadly missed by all. She is the devoted mother of Concetta (Giuseppe Randisi), Giuseppe (Anita Crep), Angela (late Vincenzo Randisi), Pietro, Rosario and Antonino (Claire Pesetti), and all her brothers and sisters, relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Magnus Poirier Funeral Home ? 10300 boul. Pie-IX, Montréal from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30th 2010. A funeral service will be held at Our Lady Of Pompei Church, on Wednesday March 31st 2010, at 11 a.m., situated on Sauvé (angle Boul. St-Michel) Montréal. Burial to follow at La Pièta at Notre-Dame des Neiges cemetery.
