It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Maria Grassi, this past Saturday, October 31st, 2009. She was a treasured wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of fifty five years, Francesco, her beloved children Sabino (Clara), Pasqualina (Jim), and Antoinette (Stanley), and her cherished grandchildren (the loves of her life) Cristina, Sabrina, Francesco, Emma, Sara, Alessandra, Roberto, Tessa, and Victoria. She also leaves to mourn her brothers Giuseppe and Pasquale. Predeceased by her parents Domenico and Anna Maria, and her brothers Francesco and Michele.
She will always be remembered by her family and friends for her warm and generous heart, her fighting spirit and boundless optimism, her passion for gardening, and most of all, her love and devotion to family. Visitation will be on Thursday November 5th, from 2 PM to 5 PM and 7 PM to 10 PM at Magnus Poirier, 10300 Pie IX (corner Fleury).
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 6th at 11 A.M at Paroisse St. Angèle, 5275 boul. Lavoisier, St. Leonard, thence to Notre - Dame des Neiges cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, and in keeping with her sincere dedication to giving and helping others, donations to the Fondation Hopital Santa Cabrini would be appreciated.
