RICCARDI, MARIA CARMELA (Carmen)
1957-2008
On Saturday June 21 2008 our dearest Carmen passed away. She left in the same manner that she lived: with great courage, dignity, strength of will and a pervasive sense of humor in the face of great challenges. It was these qualities that made us all love and respect her so much. It was also these qualities that helped her through so many battles with cancer. Carmen will be missed by all of her relatives, many dear friends and colleagues, but we know that a part of her will always be with us showing us the way through any challenges that we may encounter. She leaves her parents Maria and Michele Riccardi, her children Daniela and Michelle Paluzzi, her husband Mitchell Fox and her wonderful uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. They will hold a place in their hearts and souls for her always. We wish to thank the Royal Victoria Hospital for the incredible care that she has received throughout the years. In particular the researchers and her guardian angels of NSABP, the amazing nurses of the Oncology Day Clinic and all of the dedicated doctors and medical professionals that gave Carmen the extra years that she so richly deserved . We also wish to give a special thanks to the medical professionals of Medical 7'. They lead us by the hand, when we needed it the most, so that our Carmen could leave with dignity. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22 from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 10 p.m. at Magnus Poirier Funeral Home located at 10 300 boul. Pie IX (corner of Fleury). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23 at 10 a.m. at Madonna della Pompei Church located at 2875 rue Sauvé East (corner boul. St-Michel). In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Quebec Breast Cancer Society.
