MAGNUS POIRIER INC.On Saturday, June 25th, 2022, Lucia Barbiero Iacobacci passed away peacefully at the age of 92.
Lucia lost her parents at a young age, but being the eldest girl of eight children, she took on the role of raising her siblings. Once in her thirties, she immigrated from Italy to Montreal, met the love of her life Luigi Iacobacci and started a family of her own. She lived her life to the fullest; enjoying her friends and family, helping to raise her grandchildren, crocheting the most beautiful pieces, baking the most delicious ferratelle, and being part of the Ielsi Association of Montreal.
She is preceded in death by her husband Luigi, and leaves behind her loving and devoted daughter Cristina (Hugo), her cherished grandchildren Giuliano, Luca, Marco (Lena) and Alexia (Dany), her great grandchildren Christian and Matthew, her siblings Carlo (Maria Grazia), Maria, Teresa (Pasquale), Rosaria (Mario), her sisters-in-law Marianna, Maria, Pasqualina, Giuseppina, as well as her nieces and nephews. She will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved her.
If you wish to pay your respects, visitations will be held at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex, 10300 Pie IX Blvd. on Wednesday, June 29th from 2 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 30th 2022 at 1 p.m. at St-Simon Apotre Church, 145 Rue de Beauharnois O., Montreal, H2N 1J8, then burial at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Paroisse Saint-Benoît.
