Karol died peacefully at the West Island Palliative Care Residence on Monday, May 14, 2012, in her eighty-third year. Dearly beloved wife of Alexander Koppold for 61 years. She will also be missed by her sisters Maria and Paula, their families and her many relatives in Linz, Austria. She will be also be sadly missed by relatives in Germany, Helena, Robert, Johann, Stefy, Rudy and Nancy, and Alex’s sister Zlata and her family in Slovenia. Special thanks to her friends Elsa and Jennifer, and to all those who came to the hospital to comfort her. We wish to thank the worshippers of St. Edwards the confessor for their prayers. Thank you to Dr. Fasie and the staff of the 4th floor of the Lakeshore General Hospital for their compassionate care, and to the West Island Care Residence. At Karol’s request there will be at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd, DDO on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, we would ask you to send donations in Karol’s memory to the West Island Palliative Care Residence
