MAGNUS POIRIER INC.It is with profond sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Joyce GOODROW (nee) Strotten, on December 13, 2018 at the age of 94.
Beloved wife of the late Ralph Patrick Goodrow and devoted companion of the late Bert DeCarlo, loving sister of the late Brenda and late Donald, she will be sadly missed by her sons Ralph John (Reine) and Brian (Judy).
Born in Cardiff, Wales, Joce spent her youth in Worthing, England where she served in the ''Women's Auxiliary Air Force'' during WW II and where she met her future husband. She was one of the many thousands of ''War Brides'' who came to Canada through ''Pier 21'' to start her new life and family.
Our heartfelt appreciation to the entire staff and volunteers of the Father Dowd home who made her final days comfortable.
Visitation December 19, 2018 from 2 p.m.. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. plus funeral service on December 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Magnus Poirier funeral home at 6825 sherbrooke St. East, Montreal (Radisson or Langelier metro stops).
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Alzheimer Society Canada or the Royal Canadien legion Poppy Campaign would be greatly appreciated.
