SMITHEMAN, Joseph H.
(1921-2011)
Passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 30, 2011 at Ste. Anne’s Hospital in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue at the age of 90. He leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years, Alberta and will also be sadly missed by his children Neal (Connie), the late James, Douglas (Pauline), Bradley (Deborah), Catherine (Dave), Brent (Susan) and his grand-children, Timothy, Spencer, Christopher, Wesley, Victoria and Stephanie. Joseph served our country during WWII with the 110th Battery 15th Canadian Field Regiment RCA and as a veteran was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 57 Pointe-Claire.
Visitation to be held at the Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd, DDO, (514) 685-3344, on Monday May 9th from 6 to 9 p.m. A private burial will be held at the Field of Honour. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ste. Anne’s Hospital Foundation (www.sahfoundatiuon.ca http://www.sahfoundatiuon.ca ) or a charity of your choice.
