ARMOUR, John

Passed away peacefully in his sleep on Father’s Day, June 17, 2012. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1929. He married his beloved Maureen in 1960, then moved to Lesotho, Africa, where his three loving children were born, Mary, Joseph (Suzanne) and Bernie (Cindy). He will also dearly be missed by his five grandchildren, Melissa, Michelle, Julian, Amy and Holly. He is survived by his two sisters, Mary Houston and Margaret Hughes. John had a very successful career at McGill University and was very active for many years at St. Luke’s Parish in Dollard-des-Ormeaux.

The family will receive condolences at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC (514) 685-3344, on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Mass will take place at St. Luke’s Parish, 106A Anselme-Lavigne, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Qc on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Médecins sans Frontières (MSF).
