PICTON, Joan

Born June 7, 1934 in Montreal. Mom passed away peacefully on October 9, 2011. Happily twice-married, mom was nonetheless a widow of William F. Picton and Terence P. Common. Daughter of the late, and greatly missed, William and Mildred Hiller. Sister of the late, exuberant and talented, Brian Hiller (Gigi). She is survived by her children Cathy Common, Mike Common (Sheila), Steven Common, Debbie Picton and Michael Picton (Bonnie). Grandmother to 11 engaging young adults who, together with the many others she touched, carry her memory forward for the next generation. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd., DDO, (514) 685-3344. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Quebec would be appreciated.
