Beloved daughter of the late Frederick Arthur Shackell and his wife the late Kathleen May Giroux of Lachine. Joan said she had a wonderful retirement surrounded by “super” friends. You know who you are—my chosen family. A particular thanks to Dr. Ngoc Van Nguyen at L’Hospitalier de Lachine who saved Joan’s life twice and to Pat, Dr. Nguyen’s assistant nurse.
