On May 7, 2016, Ivan (aka Vanek) passed away peacefully in his 84th year, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Mary Matus (aka Micka) and cherished father of John (Betty) and the late Bronco (Rosie). Loving grandfather of Jenna and Madison. Dear brother of Marija, Matija and Agata, predeceased by Martin and Stefan. Ivan will be fondly remembered by his many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Magnus Poirier funeral home at 6825 Sherbrooke St. East, Montreal on Wednesday, May 11 from 2 to 5 pm and from 7 to 9 pm, prayers will be held at 2:30pm. Mass will be held on Thursday, May 12 at 10:00 am at St. Vladimir Parish at 3470 St. Joseph Blvd. East.
Thank you to the staff of Santa Cabrini hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Vladimir Parish would be appreciated.
