DICKSON, Irene Jane (Clark)
1926 - 2020Grosse-Ile
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother and grandmother, Irene (Clark) Dickson. She died peacefully, surrounded by her family, at her home in Grosse Ile at the age of 94 years. Irene was the daughter of the late Frank and Annie Clark (née Bell). She was also predeceased by her husband, the late Trevor Dickson, her grandson, Greg Wark, and her six siblings.
Irene leaves to mourn her children: Sonny (Deborah), Opal (Ronald), Linda (Waldron), Elizabeth (late Thomas Clarke), Kerry, and Jenny (late Hunter Burke). Irene also leaves to mourn eleven grandchildren: David, Michael, Brent, Rachel, Janey, Perry, Troy, Jason, Kendall, Helena and Frank Henry, 16 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her caregiver & niece, Valerie Clark, as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Irene’s Celebration of Life will be held at the Holy Trinity Church in Grosse Ile on December 10, with the service beginning at the house at 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will be followed by the burial at St. Peter’s-by-the-Sea Cemetery in Old Harry.
The family will receive condolences at her home at 235 chemin principal in Grosse Ile, beginning on December 9 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral.
Please note that funeral services must respect the sanitary measures in place which include mask wearing, handwashing, and physical distancing.
