Passed away peacefully at the West Island Palliative Care Residence on November 21, 2011. Beloved husband of Shirley Melnyk. Loving father of Harry (Penny), Glenn (Kathy) and Kim (Brian). Cherished grandfather of Chad, Tanis, Haley, Jared, Justin, Amanda, Jessica and Emily and great-grandfather of Jayden and Domenic. He will also be sadly missed by his brother Costa (Joan), his sister-in-law Anna, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd., DDO, 514-685-3344, on Friday, November 25 from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. with a memorial service following at 2 p.m. The family wishes to thank Dr. Piacotta and Debbie, Gloria Timmins, Linda Fowler and the staff at the West Island Palliative Care Residence. In lieu of flowers, donations to the NOVA West Island or to the WIPCR would be greatly appreciated.
