MALOLEY-DEMELLO, Gladys Mary
With cherished memories we mark the passing of our mother Gladys Maloley, born July 10,1931. Gladys died peacefully, on Dec 23,2012, with her loving family at her side. Gladys leaves behind her three much loved sons, Michael (Janet), Peter (Debra) and Andrew (Nancy), as well as cousins, nieces and nephews. Gladys was predeceased by Richard DeMello, brothers Joe, John and sister Louise.
Gladys was a long-time proprietor of Saint Agathe des Monts' original (Dominion 5,10,15) general store. Gladys took over operation of the store when she was just a teenager. She possessed exceptional culinary talents that were enjoyed by family and friends alike. Gladys had an infectious laugh that touched everyone’s ear and heart. Her incredible strength and generous spirit touched all who met her.
Special thanks to Isabel Masse, Dr. Jolivet, Dr. Caouette and all of the caregivers in the palliative unit of the Ste Agathe des Monts hospital for their passionate care and professionalism.
Per Gladys' wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. There will be a private internment to be held at a later date.
