MAGNUS POIRIER INC.It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Giovanna Comito.
Giovanna passed into the arms of our Lord on the morning of January 14, 2022 in Montreal, Quebec.Giovanna was the daughter of Ilario and Giulia Comito, born on June 24th, 1940 in the town of Riace, Calabria.
She dedicated herself to caring for her family and serving the Lord. Her faith in Christ and belief in the power of prayer gave her a calm strength and wisdom that helped so many who crossed her path.
Giovanna loved being around people and never missed an opportunity to remind us how special we are in God’s eyes while encouraging us to pray and be grateful. She will be remembered for her extraordinary pasta dishes, her heartfelt prayers, and her gentle, caring heart.
Even when afflicted with several debilitating conditions, her faith never wavered, instead, it deepened with every passing day; until the day God called her home to take her place in His Kingdom which she prayed for all her life.
Giovanna leaves behind her sister Caterina, brothers Cosimo and Damiano (Nina), nephews Cosimo (Karina), Ilario (Mary) and Lorenzo as well as her nieces Marina (Tony), Julia (Gaetano) and Samantha. Also carrying on her memory are her great-nephews, great-nieces, numerous cousins, close relatives, parish community and friends.
Due to the circumstances, the funeral rituals will be celebrated in the privacy of the immediate family.
