SCATTAGLIA Giacomina
1927-2020
MAGNUS POIRIER INC.It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Giacomina Lanzolla (née Scattaglia) on May 9th, 2020 at the age of 93. Giacomina was married to the late Bartolomeo Lanzolla for 48 years and is survived by her sister Maria, her children Andrea (Réjane), Nancy (Hans), Sabina (the late Fausto), Silvio (the late Francesca), Daniella (Franco), along with her eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Born in Cassano delle Murge (Bari), Italy to Savina Viapiano and Simeone Scattaglia, Giacomina immigrated to Montreal with her cherished husband Bartolomeo and their two eldest children in 1954. She was dearly committed to her family and was an unabating presence in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Giacomina will be fondly remembered for her strength, compassion, warm smile, and timeless beauty. She will forever be entrenched in our hearts and souls.
A celebration of life will be held to honour Giacomina when circumstances permit. Donations may be made to the JGH COVID-19 Fund in her honour. The family would also like to express their thanks to Dr. Hoang and his team at Résidence Angelica during Giacomina’s battle with this virus.
