Passed away peacefully at home on May 27th, 2011 at the age of seventy-six. Beloved husband of Jeannette Smith. Loving father of Annette (John Banfill). Cherished grandfather of Timothy and Katelyn. Dear brother of Gerald (Frances), Evan (Cynthia) and Barbara (Richard). George was a retired Air Canada employee of over 30 years. Visitation at the Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd., DDO, 514-685-3344, on Wednesday, June 1st from 7 to 9 pm. A memorial will be held in the Rideau Chapel on Thursday, June 2nd at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
