FRENCH, Genevieve Esther nee Lahey In Buckingham Hospital on Monday July 14, 2008 after a courageous battle with Alzheimers in her 93rd year. Beloved daughter of the late Dennis B. Lahey and the late Mary Filion. Cherished wife of the late Laurier French. Beloved mother of John (Micheline Lavoie) and Laurie (Ronald Nadon), grandmother to Tiffany and Wyatt Nadon, Brigitte and Patrick French, great grandmother of Karolanne Clement and Brandon Nadon-Savard, Alexandre and Nicolas French. Predeceased by 4 sisters and 3 brothers; sister Mary Veronica, G.S.I.C., Veronica Judge, Dorothy, Helena Smith, Augustus, Ignatius and Dennis. Also survived by many nephews and nieces. She was a devoted teacher of grade 4 at Our Lady of Victory School for 19 years and cherished all her students throughout those years. Visiting hours at the Brunet Funeral home, 115 Maclaren Est, Gatineau Qc., J8L 1J9, Friday starting at 8 a.m. A religious service will be held on Friday July 18, 2008 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Victory's Church Gatineau (sector Buckingham). Interment will follow in St-Gregoire Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated.
