MAGNUS POIRIER INC.On Tuesday July 30th, Freddy Tehemton Vatcha, beloved husband, son, brother and friend, passed away at the young age of 40 years old. Freddy will be forever remembered by his wife Stephanie and his parents Tehemton and Roshan, by his sister, Anahita (Alain) and brother, Mehernosh (Susan) and his nephews Benjamin and Samuel. Freddy will also be forever remembered by his extended family and many, many dear friends.
The family would also like to thank all of the medical professionals at the Royal Victoria Hospital who took care of Freddy; notably Dr. Marcelo Cantarovich, Cheryl Desmond, Clélie Kelhetter, Dr. Gizelle Popradi, Lynda Desrochers, Drena Walker, Dr. Steven Paraskevas, Dr. Lorne Schweitzer, Dr. Stéphane Beaudoin, Dr. Christian Sirois, Dr. Lawrence Hoffman, Dr. Peter Goldberg, the nurses in the transplant unit, as well as, the professionals at the Jewish General who consulted and offered support to the family during Freddy’s fight.
Although taken too soon, Freddy was a man who attacked life with enthusiasm and gusto. He had many talents and passions, including photography, woodworking, music (specifically karaoke), poetry and more recently, travelling, spin class, squash, and crocheting. Freddy was a man who always made time for his friends and family and never took life too seriously. Freddy will be sorely missed by many.
The family will receive condolences at Magnus Poirier, 6825, rue Sherbrooke Est, Montréal on Friday, August 9th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. The Memorial Service will take place at 8:00pm in the funeral home Chape. An informal gathering of friends and family will take place on Saturday, August 10th from 2:00 to 5:00pm at 642 Rue de Courcelle, 3rd Floor, Suite 300.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations in memory of Freddy be made to Diabètes Québec (3750 Cremazie Blvd, Suite 500, Montréal, QC H2A 1B6) or Transplant Québec (4100, Molson Street, office 200, Montréal, QC H1Y 3N1).
