1929-2011
Passed away peacefully in Montreal on June 3rd, 2011 at the age of 81.
Francis leaves behind Louise - his loving wife of 55 years, his children - Mark, Stephen (Karen Joynt), Jennifer (Tony Speranza), Gregory (Michelle Wachman), John Francis (Lara Ferraro), Kathleen (deceased) and his grandchildren- Devon, Cameron, Sophie, Christina, Jacob, Gabrielle, Liam and little Mia.
The youngest of a large family, he is also survived by his brother Richard.
Francis graduated from Carlton University and shortly after the war he served in the army of occupation in Germany. He cherished his family, his long time friends, his fiddle and all things Irish. He built a life and home away from Campbell's Bay but never stopped calling it home while telling us many stories of growing up there.
We would like to thank the dedicated nurses and doctors at Sacre Coeur Hospital for the compassionate care they showed our father and our family.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke foundation would be appreciated.
Visitation will take place at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Source Blvd, DDO on Monday June 6th between 6 and 9 pm.
A funeral mass followed by a reception will be held at St. Suzanne Church, 9501 boul. Gouin ouest in Pierrefonds on Tuesday June 7th at 12:30 pm. The family will be receiving at the church at 11:30 a.m.
