Einar 'rnie' Hansen It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Einar on Monday, June 20, 2011 in Baie D'Urfe. After a two year battle with cancer he died peacefully with family ny his side. Einar was married for fifty-six years to Hanna Lisa (nee Petersen) who passed away in 2007. Together they had five devoted sons, Eivind (Marie-Claude), Michael (Janice), Jack (Patricia), Danny (Diane) and Peter. He is also 'Farfar' to grandchildren Michele (Andy), Erik (Katherine), Kristopher, Tanya (Olivier), Patrick, Kevin (Samantha), Dylan, Justin, Melynda, Gregory and Alexandra, and great-grandfather to Nikolas, Alyssa and Jax. Einar was born in 1929 in Copenhagen, Denmark and came to Canada with Hanna in 1956, lovingly and happily raised their five sons, and gave many valued years as a dedicated employee of the CBC. Einar, Dad, Farfar, we will miss your companionship, your friendship, and your playful sense of humour. Einar's family welcome friends to join them for a ceremony on Saturday, July 9 at 9:30 am at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont, Quebec, H2V 2P9, (514 279 6540. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Einar's name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
