BAIRSTOW, Douglas

Bairstow, Douglas passed away on Monday, June 20, 2011. Douglas had been battling a lengthy illness. He was 83 years old. Beloved husband to the late Lucille Gertrude Bairstow (nee Cutler). Loving father to his three sons: Brian (Patti Palmer), Leslie (Kaon Wada), and Ronald (Maria Couchees). Proud grandfather to Bryan, Braden, Brett and Toma. He will also be missed by his sister Doris MacDougall, and his many relatives and friends. Affectionately known as 'snowball' , Douglas was a;ways willing to lrnd a hand. He was an active member in local minor sports and Scouts Canada, having reached the rank of Akela. Douglas worked at Imperial Oil Ltd. for 30 years. He had a passion for model trains and would often be seen tending his garden during his retirement. Viewing will take place on Monday, June 27, 14:00-16:00 at Mount Royal Commemorative Services, 1297 Chemin de la Foret, outremont. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
