It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Smith on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the Lakeshore General Hospital. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Shirley of 55 years, his three children Steven (Sylvie), Janice (Bob) and Carolyn, and four grandchildren Melissa, Shawn, Kayleigh and Megan. Special thanks to Dr. Laryea and nurse Sonia at the oncology department of the Lakeshore General and the NOVA nurses who took great care of him.
Visitation will be held at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, (514) 685-3344, on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 1 pm, followed by a service at 2 pm in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Lakeshore Hospital Foundation, Cnacer Society or NOVA would be appreciated.
