It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother Dina Sbragia (Bacchi) in her 98th year, beloved wife of the late Orlando Sbragia, predeceased by her siblings Gordon, Alfred, Amelia, Julio, Elide and Louis.
She is survived by her sister Josephine (Alfio) and sister-in-law Florida. She leaves to mourn her loving daughters Linda and Mary, her grandchildren Michael (Irene) and Laura, her great grandchildren Steven and Sandra, as well as her many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Her simplicity, her wisdom and wit, her fortitude, her beauty, her empathy, her deep faith, her zest for life, as well as her gracious smile have been both a blessing and an inspiration to all whose lives she has touched. The family is grateful for her longevity and acknowledges Dr. Cianculli of the urology department, as well as Dr. Langleban and the hematology staff at Santa Cabrini Hospital for the care and compassion they provided.
In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, donations to either of these departments, as well as to one of Dina's favorite charities, the Consolata Missionaries in her memory can be made.
Friends may gather at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex, 10300 Pie-IX Blvd, Montreal, on Sunday, June 4, 2017, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 pm, and Monday morning as of 9 am.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 11:15 am in Our Lady of Consolata Church, thence burial at Notre-Dame des Neiges Cemetery.
