Peacefully passed away, surrounded by love, on May 16, 2011 at the Lakeshore General Hospital. Beloved husband and best friend for 57 years of Alice Mitchell. Loving father of Anita (John McManus), Donna and Robert (Clara Notartomaso). Proud grandfather of Daniel, Kathryn, Michelle and Kevin. Cherished brother of Elizabeth and Margaret. Predeceased by Joan, Anthony and Thomas. He will also be missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
His family will receive condolences on Wednesday, May 18th, 2011 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, May 19th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources blvd, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, 514-685-3344. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 20th, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St-Edmund of Canterbury, 105 Beaconsfield Blvd, Beaconsfield. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St.Anne’s Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
