CLYKE, Blanche (nee Bowles)
1916-2011
Passed away peacefully at the West Island Manor on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at the age of ninety-four. Beloved wife of the late Robert Clyke. Loving mother of Maxine (John Lapenna), Dennis (Arlene), Linda and Lorne (Diane). Predeceased by her daughter Myrna (late John McEwen). She will be sadly missed by all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sisters Pauline Thompson of Windsor, Nova Scotia and Barbara Bowles of Halifax, Nova Scotia, her sister-in-law Josephine Bowles of Truro, Nova Scotia as well as many other relatives and friends. Also pre-deceased by her brother Clarence and her sister Muriel. Blanche was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Ile Perrot for many years and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank the staff of the West Island Manor for their care and compassion. Visitation at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd., DDO, 514-685-3344 on Wednesday, March 9 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, March 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service in the Rideau Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment at Rideau Memorial Gardens with a reception to follow in the Rideau Lounge. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
