1914 – 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernadine (Be) Blommesteijn, wife of the (late) Clemens (Gus) Blommesteijn. Bernadine passed away peacefully at the West End Villa in Ottawa, On.. At 99, she lived a long life filled with love. Dear mother of: Ben (Anne) and Ron (Cathy). Beloved grandmother of: Nick (Irina), Art (Pam), Brian (Kristy), Diane, Derek (Sydnee), Lisa and Christina. Beloved great-grandmother of: Daniel, Andrew, Alexandra, Hailey, Jack and Sofia. Many thanks to Eva Maertens, for all her love and support during Bernadine’s last weeks. Visitation will be held at Rideau Memorial Gardens, 4275 Sources Boulevard, Dollard des Ormeaux (514)685-3344 on April 19th 2013 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The funeral service will take place at St. David's Parish 12450 rue Gascon Pierrefonds QC H8Z 1S2 (514) 684-8434 at 2:00pm on April 20th 2013. A light lunch will be served at Rideau Memorial Gardens after the service. Donations to the Cancer Society and West End Villa will be gratefully accepted.
