Passed away peacefully on January 25th at the Bayview Nursing Home, in her 91st year, after a memorable life. Arlene was a lovely and kind person who radiated warmth and welcoming. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, inspiring a big smile back.
She was predeceased by her cherished husband, George, in 2004 and is survived by her loving children, Dianna (Rodney) and Patricia (Jane), her granddaughter Valerie (Mike) and her adored great grandchildren, Alex and Ryan.
Arlene was born in Fredericton, NB where she studied Nursing and became a Lieutenant in WWII. She met her love in Sussex, NB and was married in 1946.
She was predeceased by her dear sister, Elaine Everett (the late Carl) of Toronto and brother, William of Fredericton. She is survived by her dear brothers, Wardlow (the late Nellie) and Claude (Vera) of Fredericton. She will be sorely missed by her nieces, Carlene (Al) Inglis of Toronto, Joan Powell of Nepean and Jeanie (Vince) of Fredericton and by her dear devoted friend, Jane Nelson.
The family would like to thank Nicole’s wonderful and devoted staff on the 5th floor at the Bayview Nursing Home and especially, Dr. Dollois.
Funeral services will take place at 2pm on Saturday, February 4th at the Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd, DDO (514-685-3344). Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolences at www.remembering.ca.
